7 | Requests for proposals


The Recycling Partnership, an initiative of Curbside Value Partnership (CVP), has announced their 2015 funding opportunity for counties, municipalities and solid waste authorities seeking to improve their residential curbside recycling infrastructure. Specifically, the grants will provide funding for cart procurement and education and outreach programs. CVP will also provide successful applicants with tailored recycling education campaign materials to support the cart rollout, along with technical assistance for community recycling operations. Final proposals must be received by 5 p.m. EST on April 15, 2015. Details are available here.


The Mattress Recycling Council (MRC) is requesting proposals for mattress transportation and recycling services in Rhode Island. This RFP has been created to help MRC assess costs and capabilities to comply with the Rhode Island law for managing discarded mattresses. RFP submittals are due Feb. 20, 2015. The New York State Association for Reduction, Reuse and Recycling (NYSAR) has announced that the grant program for members of the organization's College Council will continue during the spring semester, with grant applications and project proposals now being accepted. Details are available here.


Call2Recycle, the manufacturer-backed group that manages battery take-back in North America, is seeking proposals from individuals and entities to help the group examine its processors and sorters over the next two years. For more information, email [email protected].
