U.K.WEEE processor Environcom has acquired Overton Recycling. The acquisition gives Environcom three WEEE sites in operation, according to the company, and follows the recent announcement of WEEE Europe, an alliance of producer compliance programs throughout Europe.


Green Technology Solutions (GTSO) has announced plans to launch a research and development commercialization facility in Chile. The goal is to study regional e-scrap trends and waste streams, and the publicly traded company will work with partner Chilerecicla to focus on improving the recovery of rare earths and precious metals from e-scrap.
