1 | Canadian plastic packaging recycling rises


The amount of plastic packaging collected for recycling in Canada increased by 15 percent from 2009 to 2010, according to findings from a trade association in the country.

3 | PetroChem Wire: Recycled PET remains under downward pressure


Prices for pellet and flake PET are under continued downward pressure in June following price declines last month. Baled prices slipped and demand from exporters to China lagged in May. U.S. PET plants have been producing at high rates, potentially creating a prime surplus and more available scrap late in the second quarter.
