Colombian polyester fiber producer and PET recycler Enka de Colombia S.A. recently installed a Starlinger recoSTAR PET 300 iV+ recycling line for bottle-to-bottle recycling at a facility in the city of MedellĂ­n. An established producer of fibers, filaments, yarns and resins for the textile industry, Enka recently entered the bottle-to-bottle recycling market. Find out more details here.


The Plastics Division of the American Chemistry Council is accepting nominations for its Innovations in Plastics Recycling Awards program. The initiative aims to honor technologies, products and breakthroughs that advance the use of post-consumer plastic material. Get more details here.

Seattle Public Utilities (SPU) will be requesting proposals for recycling processing services to start April 1, 2016. The RFP will pertain to processing 85,000 tons per year of recyclables collected from Seattle apartments, residents and small businesses. A pre-release draft RFP is available here.
