Terry Schneider has been named president and CEO of CP Global, the parent company of recycling equipment manufacturer CP Group. Schneider had been the company's president and chief operating officer for the past two years, and he was formerly an executive at Republic Services. He replaces Bob Davis, who is now chairman of the board of directors at the company. In other news from the company, construction is set to begin this week on a large Republic Services MRF in the Las Vegas area that will rely on CP Group equipment. More information is available here.
MRF equipment manufacturer Bulk Handling Systems (BHS) has named Thomas Brooks its director of technology and product development, a newly created position at the company. Previously, Brooks was engineering manager for BHS subsidiary National Recovery Technologies. For more, head here.
The National Waste & Recycling Association recently announced it now has 813 members, an all-time high for the organization. The group noted it has seen a 20 percent increase in membership over the last two years, a growth spurt the group attributed to increased member benefits. For more, click here.
Republic Services recently announced the addition of 14 compressed natural gas (CNG) solid waste and recycling trucks to serve customers in the region east of Seattle. This addition brings the total number of CNG trucks operated by Republic in Washington's greater Puget Sound area to 109. Read more here.
Stadler America LLC has hired Rutger Zweers as sales director.
