Eastman Chemical Company has announced an initiative to increase the recyclability of the company's copolyesters. Eastman has partnered with DSI Plastics on the project to identify end uses for reground copolyesters with a focus on the building and construction market.


Merlin Plastics USA has purchased an ownership stake of ORPET, the plastics recycling project that handles beverage containers redeemed through Oregon's bottle deposit program. Merlin purchased the ownership stake from Pacific PET LLC. For more, click here.


National Recovery Technologies (NRT), a manufacturer of optical sorting equipment, has named Travis Curtis to the newly created position of outside sales manager.
