The American Forest & Paper Association has launched a webpage and online video that aim to help consumers improve the quality of the papers they're dropping in recycling bins. The "What is Recyclable?" website and "Improving Paper Recycling" video answer questions about which types of papers are recyclable, as well as give diversion tips. For more, click here.


Bigbelly expanded its customer base to 47 countries in 2014, and it is poised for worldwide expansion in 2015, according to a company press release. Bigbelly is the maker of solar-powered compacting garbage stations and recycling bins for public spaces. In 2015, Bigbelly aims to grow in the areas of higher education, health care and shopping centers. For more, click here.


Harris Waste Management Group has a new North American network of 16 distributors. The network will help the manufacturer of ferrous and non-ferrous processing equipment address the diverse requirements of its customers, the company stated in a press release. For more, click here.

The New York State Association for Reduction, Reuse and Recycling (NYSAR) has announced that the grant program for members of the organization's College Council will continue during the spring semester, with grant applications and project proposals now being accepted. Details are available here.


Call2Recycle, the manufacturer-backed group that manages battery take-back in North America, is seeking proposals from individuals and entities to help the group examine its processors and sorters over the next two years. For more information, email [email protected].
