The Foodservice Packaging Institute recently released a toolkit aimed at helping communities, materials recovery facilities and end markets reduce waste and potentially generate new revenue by recovering foodservice packaging. The Foodservice Packaging Recovery Toolkit explains what materials can be recovered as well as how and where they're collected and processed. More information can be found here.

Processing equipment manufacturer Machinex has produced an informative video tour of Rumpke's recently opened Cincinnati materials recovery facility, which utilizes Machinex products. Users get a detailed look at how single-stream materials move through the MRF process, gaining a better idea of how screens and sortation devices are leveraged in a high-volume environment.
