The volume of plastic scrap exported in June, at 391.39 million pounds, was down slightly 0.01 percent from its May figure. However, when matched against its June 2010 position, the volume of exports increased by 10.2 percent.

The weighted price of recovered plastic exports in June, at 21.30 cents per pound, was up 0.52 percent from its May standing. Too, when compared to its June 2010 standing, the price increased by 7.3 percent.

Through the first half of 2011, at 2.26 billion pounds, the volume of recovered plastics exported was up 4.3 percent from its 2010 year-to-date (YTD) figure. Also, at 21.60 cents per pound, the average price through June was up 6.7 percent from its 2010 YTD standing.
