Verizon halts white pages delivery in CA
Verizon halts white pages delivery in CABy Editorial Staff, Resource Recycling In California, Verizon will stop automatically delivering printed residential white pages. The discontinuation is expected to keep nearly 2,000 tons of paper out of the California waste stream every year. In arguing for the exemption, Verizon pointed to the resources it expended annually on printing and distributing directories that are used less and less by the public. The commission granted Verizon's request on June 9. |
