NewsBitsE-Waste Systems, Inc. has announced that it has reached an agreement with the stockholders of Tech Disposal, Inc. on the final earnout payment. The payment was made in connection with E-Waste Systems acquisition of the company. Sims Recycling Solutions, a global electronics recycling company, has been selected to provide e-scrap collection services at the New York City Department of Sanitation’s Spring 2012 solvent, automotive, flammables, electronics disposal events being held in each of the five boroughs. NAID has announced the results of recent elections to its board of directors. Tom Huth of Allshred Services has been voted President-elect. Les Etscheidt of Document Destruction and Recycling Services will serve as secretary. Intek Truck & Equipment Leasing's Paul Garfunkel will serve as vendor liason. Finally, Don Adriaansen of CSDS TITAN Mobile Shredding, Renee Keener of American Document Securities and Angie Singer-Keating of Reclamere, Inc. have been named directors. Silvanus360 has released a white paper on global e-scrap regulations detailing the country-specific laws that apply to different grades of materials. America Online recently decommissioned nearly 10,000 servers — approximately a quarter of its total server assets — sending them to the recycling market as part of the first annual Uptime Institute Server Roundup Contest. AOL says it saved approximately $5 million by retiring the equipment. |
