Earth911, an online recycling resource, and www.youchange.com, an electronics collection company, have announced that the two groups intend to merge. youchange anticipates that the merger will help its school, community and charity collection events and that Earth911's partial ownership of Quest Recycling in Frisco, Texas will also be beneficial.

The U.S. International Trade Commission is seeking comments on a proposed survey to analyze the flows of used electronics. Comments need to be submitted before June 1.

In observance of Earth Day, Sims Recycling Solutions will hold collection events in the U.S., South Africa and various European countries, and at six of these locations organizers will attempt to break the Guinness World Record for the most electronics collected within 24 hours.
