Sims Recycling Solutions, the largest electronics recycling firm in the world, has announced it will pursue e-Stewards certification at its 14 North American e-scrap processing facilities. The company's facilities are currently all certified to ISO 14001 and R2.
E-Cycle Washington has released collection numbers for the first half of 2012. Through June, the state brought in over 20 million pounds of covered electronics, increasing its collection volume by 1.9 percent versus the same period in 2011. A full breakdown of the numbers can be found here.
The Association of New Jersey Household Hazardous Waste Coordinators has launched E-Cycle New Jersey, a free recycling program for residents of the Garden State. The association is also launching a public outreach campaign on the importance of electronics recycling and the state’s e-scrap law.
