Certification scorecard

With the roster of companies attaining third-party certifications or audits continuing to grow, E-Scrap News has compiled a round-up of the firms announcing certification this past week.

• BCS Recycling Specialists of Canoga Park, California is certified to ISO 14001 in addition to R2.
• Sipi Metals' Chicago facility is certified to ISO 14001. The site is also ISO 9001 certified and CHWMEG audited.
• The Waste Commission of Scott County, Iowa's electronics demanufacturing facility is now R2 certified – a first for a public agency.
• Eagle Secure Shredding & Doc Mgmt LLC of Tucker, Georgia; First-Shred LLC of Fridley, Minnesota; IROW of Mosinee, Wisconsin; Loss Protection & Investigations, Inc. of Fresno, California; SafeGuard Destruction Services, Inc. of Fort Myers, Florida; Shred Right (a Rohn Industries Co.) of St. Paul, Minnesota; and ShredTex of Houston, Texas have all either achieved or renewed their NAID Certification for Physical Destruction of Hard Drives.
