Certification scorecard

With the roster of companies attaining third-party certifications or audits continuing to grow, E-Scrap News has compiled a round-up of the firms announcing certification this past week.

• Waste Management Recycle America announced that seven of its e-scrap processing facilities are now certified to the e-Stewards standard. The plants certified to the standard are located in Mira Loma, California; Denver, Colorado; Springfield, Massachusetts; Minneapolis, Minnesota; Tigard, Oregon; Round Rock, Texas; and Milawukee, Wisconsin. All facilities had been previously certified to both R2 and RIOS as well.
• Orange Coast Computers and Recycling of Fountain Valley, California has been CHWMEG audited.
• AERC Recycling Solutions is now certified to both R2 and RIOS at its four facilities in Allentown, Pennsylvania; Ashland, Virginia; Hayward, California; and Houston, Texas.
• Three firms have renewed their NAID certification for the physical destruction of hard drives. They are Land Shark Shredding of Bowling Green, Kentucky; No Trace, of Richmond, California; and Lakeshore Document Services Co. of Muskegon, Michigan.
