The $25 million expansion now allows the firm to melt 125 tons of cans per hour [1]. The company says this makes the plant the largest can recycling facility in the world. The metal is used at the site to make new aluminum sheet stock. Waste Management of Arizona has announced that it is opening an organics recycling facility in Arizona with Garick LLC, a maker of biomass fuel, as well as organic lawn and garden products. The Maricopa Organics Recycling Facility [2] will be used to convert yard waste and clean wood that will be processed into biomass wood fuel, compost and mulch. The new film adaption of the Dr. Seuss classic The Lorax has drawn criticism for its perceived anti-business and anti-plastic agenda.
