2 | Balance is key at Resource Recycling Conference 2015

As the organizers of the annual Resource Recycling Conference, we put in a great deal of time designing an agenda that ensures a wide range of voices are represented.

Whether tackling the complexities of the debate surrounding mixed-waste processing or unpacking the challenges and opportunities companies face in using recycling content, the constant goal of the conference is to place a premium on generating thoughtful and well-rounded conversation.

And the conference's history is rich with industry dialogue. Last year, for example, sustainability luminary Bill McDonough stayed on after his opening presentation to help draft the National Recycling Coalition's foundational definition of recycling. And after two days of riveting presentations and conversation, proponents and opponents of extended producer responsibility capped off the event by hashing out their differences in a fiery discussion before a packed crowd.

The conference's focus on covering all angles and speaking to a variety of stakeholders will be highlighted again at the 2015 iteration of the industry-leading show. If you want to add your voice into the mix, register for the Resource Recycling Conference 2015 in Indianapolis.

Resource Recycling Conference 2015 is scheduled for Sept. 28-30, 2015 at the Downtown Marriott in Indianapolis. Head to rrconference.com for all the latest on attending, exhibiting and sponsoring.

7 | EPA to tackle metrics at Resource Recycling Conference 2015

The U.S. EPA will be holding a workshop at the start of the Resource Recycling Conference 2015 that will help industry stakeholders better understand how key recycling data is being tracked and harnessed by government leaders.

The "Measurement Matters" session will cover examples of the ways different states are collecting and sharing their key materials management figures. It will also look at case studies highlighting successes and useful data applications.

The workshop will be held Monday, Sept. 28 from 10:30 a.m. to noon at the Downtown Marriott in Indianapolis. Sign up for the meeting here.
